Kaleidoscope of Color

Yes,  it's warm outside here in Big D (ok, who are we kidding it's hotter than hades and it's just mid June)  but it's summer and I love it.  My days of enjoying a summer break are long gone, but I still allow myself to revert to childhood and feel a little more carefree during the next few months.

There are so many things to love about Summer ...cicadas singing, posh picnics, and yummy finds from your local Farmers Market
Try this...Cantelope stuffed with fresh berries, mint, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream- a perfect summer supper. Who says ice cream is for dessert?

My favorite thing about summer is the infusion of color into our lives this time of year! Vibrant pinks, chartreuse, magenta and orange.....how can you not be happy when greeted by summer colors?
Right now, I am all about brightly colored Ikat's and global textiles contrasted with the starkness of Santorini white.

Go ahead and succumb to Summer's plea to add some color. It's a Saturday project and you can make it well within budget . Just hop out and pick up a few gallons of paint, a couple of throw pillows and a summer floral arrangement.

Get to it, the hardest part will be picking which colors to use!
